Agriculture is very important in Morocco and hence is the largest employer in the country. It employs approximately 40% of the country’s workforce. Most of the agriculture takes place in the coastal regions of Morocco. The soil along the Atlantic coast and also in the valleys are extremely fertile. I hope that throughout my following posts they will give you an insight into Moroccan culture and the geography of the country. In my first post I am going to give a bit of background information about Morocco.  http://unchartedoutposts.com Morocco is located in Northwest Africa in the Maghreb region and is slightly larger than California, with a total area of 446,550 square km. The Atlantic Ocean is located on the West of Morocco, with the Mediterranean Sea at the North. You are able to see both of these oceans at the same time and Morocco is only 13km from Europe, across the Strait of Gibraltar. Morocco is bordered by Algeria on the East and the West Sahara desert at the South of the country. The population of Morocco is 33.8 million people and Rabat is the capital.
